Most people treat adtech and fintech as unrelated industries. From the inside, working the backend of both, they're the same system wearing two names.
Adtech moves attention through auctions, bids, and disclosure requirements nobody reads. Fintech moves money through the same shape of system, rails, compliance layers, and incentives that decide who gets what and when. Different currency, same architecture underneath it. Once you've built pipelines for one, the other stops looking foreign.
It's a strange seat to sit in. But it means when I look at how an AI product markets its own transparency, I'm not reading the pitch. I'm reading the architecture underneath it, because I've spent a career reading exactly that.
